Canada Human Rights Commitment StatementAt Celltrion Healthcare Canada (hereinafter “Celltrion
Canada”, “Company” or “We”), we recognize our responsibility to respect and
promote human rights across our operations and value chain. We commit to integrating
these principles into our decision-making, business practices, and corporate
governance, ensuring that all individuals involved in or affected by
our business are treated with dignity and respect.We uphold international principles and standards, including
but not limited to the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (“UNGP”),
OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, the International Bill of Human
Rights, the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work (“ILO”).
We also commit to complying with labour-related legal frameworks in Canada and
globally, including the Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child Labour in
Supply Chains Act.In alignment with these principles and standards, we
commit to :- Prohibit abuse of vulnerability based on limited education, migration status, disability, or other personal circumstances- Prevent deception by providing clear, accurate information and ensuring all workers receive the conditions and terms agreed at the start of their employment- Ensure workers' freedom of movement at all times- Avoid isolation by ensuring workers are not confined to remote locations or accommodation, and have access to communication, family, and support workers- Apply a zero - tolerance policy to all forms of physical and sexual violence, intimidation, threats, or psychological coercion against workers or their families- Ensure workers can freely access their personal documents, including passports, and that no personal documents are retained- Maintain fair and transparent employment terms, including, wages, benefits, and working conditions, without withholding wage or imposing debt bondage- Provide safe and decent working and living conditions for all workers, preventing them from being forced to remain in degrading, unsanitary, or hazardous conditions - Ensure working hours comply with national and international laws, and that any overtime is voluntary, fairly compensated, and never imposed through pressure or coercion- Prohibit child labour and comply with minimum age requirements under national and international lawAdditionally, Celltrion
Canada adhere to the principles outlined in the group level policies – the Global
Human Rights Policy and the Global Due Diligence Policy. In line
with these policies, we systematically assess human rights, environmental, and
business ethics risks within our value chain, identifying high-risk suppliers
and prioritizing risks by severity and likelihood.In accordance with our due diligence process, we require high
– risk suppliers to implement appropriate preventive and corrective measures
and regularly monitor their effectiveness to ensure compliance with our
standards. We also communicate clear expectations for human rights management
through our Supplier Code of Conduct, promoting accountability and responsible
practices throughout the supply chain. These initiatives reflect our ongoing
commitment to conducting business ethically, transparently, and sustainably.To ensure transparency and accountability, we provide
accessible grievance mechanisms through our Speak-Up Channel, enabling
all internal and external stakeholders to confidentially report actual or
potential human rights, environmental, or ethical concerns. All reports are
handled through a fair and transparent remediation process in line with our Global
Speak-Up Channel Policy, and reporters are protected from retaliation.Celltrion Canada remains committed to continuously
strengthening our human rights approach, regularly reviewing and updating this
statement to align with international standards and evolving best practices.
Through this commitment, we strive to conduct our business responsibly,
ethically, and sustainably, ensuring the rights, dignity, and well-being of all
employees, suppliers, consumers, and communities connected to our operations
are respected and protected.
This statement has
been developed by Global ESG management Team and will be reviewed periodically to
ensure alignment with international standards and regulatory requirements.
